Late Night Coffee

I really thought I'd be fine. I started by rationalizing to myself that dark roast has less caffeine, and since this was the darkest that Mountain Bean had (The Grizz), it would have very little effect. And heck.... it was only 9pm. I'd have no trouble sleeping. Ruthie and I would have a good planning meeting for our Thanksgiving service, and then I'd go home and easily fall into a deep sleep with dreams of lollipops and yellow dandelions. (yes.. a little strange I must admit.. but do you really want to hear about my dreams involving puns and corny jokes?)
I got home around 11:30 and wasn't very tired. By 12:30 I was tired, but the mind was racing. 1 came around... I was becoming bitter. By 2pm every muscle ached and I was desperate for sleep, but it just wasn't happening. The last time I looked at the clock was around 3, and by then I was just wishing I was dead. (okay thats a bit harsh.... but it was close).

As I sat at my computer this morning I made the decision.... no more coffee after 7. (or maybe 8....)
